Schijvers School Samenleving (in translation ' Writers School Society') act as a mediator between social institutions (for example a library or school) and writers. They advise when an institution is planning to invite a specific author to give a lecture about his or her work.

When SSS asked Ditbureau to develop a new visual identity, they didn't want a radical change in the design.
Still working with the abbreviation as a base for the logo, Ditbureau tried to connect the first S (the writers 'S') with the second and third (school and society).
The authors that are associated with SSS can be classified into two groups: writers that write for adults and those who write (or illustrate) for children.
